Dream Mist

Dorothy will often wake up in the middle of the night crying because of a nightmare. We comfort her and soon she will settle down, snuggle in and drift back off to sleep. We were talking with some friends of ours and they mentioned that their daughters used to have terrible nightmares.

“Before they went to bed with started to spray them with an imaginary dream mist spray that would take all the nightmares away. It worked great!” They told us.

It sounded like a fun idea and so one night after Dorothy had another bad dream paul “spritzed” her with the imaginary dream spray telling her that it would take away her bad dreams.

“But daddy,” she says, “shouldn’t I just pray?”

  2. Oh my goodness, you really can’t get more precious than that!

  3. She knows how it all works doesn’t she! That is very sweet.

  4. I love her response! Very sweet.

One of my friends has a couple of boys who had been having problems with nightmares. They would pray (pleading with Heavenly Father) to not have the nightmares. After some time, my friend and her hubby started encouraging the boys’ prayers to be worded differently. They started praying to have FAITH that Heavenly Father would help them not have nightmares. They haven’t had a problem with nightmares since.
