Spring is Springing!!!

Well, March has arrived and in Oregon it means that Spring is headed into full swing. We have even had a number of gorgeous sunny days that found me out working in the yard and enjoying the daffodils poking their heads out to feel the glorious warmth of the spring time sun. I started with cleaning off the deck from all the accumulated winter debris and gradually began moving to the walk way around the deck – trimming back the Japanese Maple and clearing out weeds that were beginning to pop out. My next project is to get the back garden ready for our vegetable garden that I am determined to make happen this year. I have quite a bit of work to do there, so with baby it might take me a little while.

Anyway, to celebrate glorious spring I give you our first Daffodils and Crocusses:

  1. Beautiful!! I am so excited for spring too. Because of the move there will be no veggie garden for us this year. *sniff*

  2. The weather was SO nice when we were out there!!! Your flowers look fantastic! I’m determined to get a garden growing this year too. We’ll see!

  3. Wow, those are great pix!

Awesome pictures! Thank you so much for the award. You’re such a sweet person! 🙂

  5. Yea! Nothing says spring like new flowers sprouting up! It actually snowed here in TX last night, so I’m not sure what’s going on around here! Guess you’ll be having James outside under an umbrella so you can get all your gardening done!!!

Hope little your little Jacob is still doing well!! Mine is still crabby, but at least he’s over his strep!!

And,BTW, welcome to the “Weird Parent Club”! Steph is almost 14 now, so I’ve been a member for a long time now!!!!

    Take care,

    ~Cindy

So both this year and last year you posted excellent pictures and I go out to my front yard where we have a few daffodils and they still haven’t bloomed. I keep thinking is something wrong with my plants? Do they need more water, fertilizer, an alarm clock?

It wasn’t until a week after you posted this message did I realize our daffodils are on the north side of a hill- haha. It’s actually taken me two years for me to figure this one out! Good thing people know me well enough to not ask me for directions:-)

  7. Sorry I haven’t visited lately, I just don’t know why. I saw these lovely shots and had to say how pretty they were. : )
I have family in Oregon myself. My father just passed in Feb. and lived in Eugene by himself (we all live on the east coast).
