Hey all so this week I was in the house again! But we were still able to visit people who are really close to the house. We have been teaching a family that works at a little store that is close to our house. We went and visited them and only the husband was there and he said that he had been reading the book of mormon and he loved but that he wanted to be taught when his wife is there because he wants her to hear the message to! WE called everyone in our list of old investigators and were able to set up more appointments for in 2 weeks. I have also had a lot of time to study the scriptures and I have developed a new love for the scriptures. My companion and I have actually had fun coming up with different ways to contact once I can walk again, and we have been making planes for our investigators and writing lists of people who live on the same street so that we can try and visit them again. Also we ate chicken feet again!!!! I absolutley love them and they are my favorite food!!! My scripture for you guys this week is Doctrine and Covenants chapter 6. I love this chapter so much it has given me so much inscite on what I can do to be a better desciple of jesus christ and how I can put my faith and trust in my savior jesus christ more I love you all so much and hope that all is going well

Hey guys! So we found out that i sprained my ankle and its level 2 so I can not leave the house for 2 weeks! We are going to try to find ways to still work without walking! Although I did find out what my favorite food is!! Chicken feet! I love them so much and they are so good!! They are so wierd but so good!!!! Thats it for this week because we have been in the house!! I love you all so much and I invite you guys to read Ether 12!! This chapter has helped me so much!
OK so this week we didnt do much. I was not able to leave the house for 5 days, sio we were not able to work very much this week. I love you all and hope all is going well
Hey all! I forgot to clarify! The reason that we could not leave the house for 5 days was because the doctor at the hospital said that he wanted me at home and resting my anksle for 5 days because I couldn´t walk well. We are heading to the hospital today for my check up on my ankle! Love you all!
Hey so this week has not been very interesting! I went to the Hospital again because my foot was swollen and really hurt to walk. Not sure what the problem is exactly but we are doing things to help! Another blessing is that my foot is not broken and is not really bad, which means that I will not be out of commission for very long and will!!! Other than that this week has not been very interesting. We had some really good and powerful lessons! My companion that I have right now is an answer to my prayers and has helped me so much, and my spanish is a lot better. I am actually having a really hard time writing this letter because I have to think so hard about what the words are in english But this is a blesing because it means that I am learning the language and that my spanish is getting better!! I hope that everything is going well for you guys!! I love you all so much and hope to hear from you!!! my Talk for you guys this week is “To Be or to Have Been, That is the Question” By Elder Joni L Koch
Hey so this week has been amazing!!I have a new companion and we have had so much fun!! We contactes over 80 people this week and have 8 new investigators and we are really excited to start working with them! This week has really been a week of miracles we were protected from a really scary dog that was coming after us, we found lots of people to teach, I have a companion who does not speak english so my spanish is so much better! This morning I was organizing our Liahonas and putting them in pikes of spanish and english, my companion looked at me and said why is this magazine in the spanish pile, I responded that it was in spanish, and she then pointed out that it was actually in english. There were so many times this morning when I looked at something in english I read it as spanish! I was able to feel the love that Heavenly Father has for our investigators and for all of his children! We made it to the chapel in 5 minutes and have no idea how because we took a bus and in a bus it usually takes us 15 or 20 minutes to get to the chapel. But we got there in time so that I could play the piano for the baptism. I now play the piano for church every sunday, as well as in our district meetings, and i am now the pianist for most of the baptisms in our Zone!
Hey all so this email may be a little short because i dont have a whole lot of time to email and I have no idea if I will have time later today after transfers!
Hey all!! So this week was really good! My companion and I contacted 24 people in one day and that was so much fun! Contacting is my favorite thing to do! It is so much fun to talk to people and I don´t know why, but I just love it!! On friday I had my second zone conference!! We decided to straighten my hair! But I made the mistake of blow drying it first! I am never blow drying my hair again! It was so puffy! But I decided that I really like my hair straight, so we might do it again! other than that this week was pretty slow. We provided a lot of service for a family and will be providing service for another family this week! I almost forgot! So because of my surgery the sister of the home that we were painting would not let me paint. So I was inside with reading Preach My Gospel and her sister came running inside saying that I needed to come outside with my camera. I grabbed my camera and went out side and saw that my companion was under another sister on a really big latter because they were both trying to paint! It was a really fun sight to see and I through in a picture of it too!! I hope that everything is going good for you guys! I love you all so much!! BYEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey all!!! So this week has been pretty slow! I am not able to walk a whole lot and so a lot of my time is spent sitting in the house, or in a members house, either talking or reading the scriptures!! We had exchanges with the sister training leaders and it was so much fun!! I get lost so easily……. for those of you who dont know I once got lost at the zoo on a date…… Anyways so needless to say, we got lost!!! We just happened to get lost right as it started to pour!!! When it rains here the streets turn into rivers! We walked through some water that was up to our knees but we also found 4 knew people to teach! One of them was for my area and the other 3 were for the sister training leaders, but it was a really good experience!! We laughed a lot and we were able to help people. We helped people get taxis, cross the street, and in the end I gave my umbrella away. We saw a mother with her two kids who where like 5, 6, or 7 and as soon as I saw them I had the prompting to give them my umbrella. I asked her if they would like my umbrella and she said kindly said no because then we will get wet. I laughed and should her my dress and explained that I was already soaked and did not need the umbrella, she and her kids began to laugh and they accepted my umbrella. My companion and I walked away and then I had the prompting that I we needed to return and to contact this family, I tried to push of the feeling saying that we didn´t have time. Then I felt like I got hit by a 2 by 4, because I then had the thought “Who are you a missionary for? Your time is the Lords time, not your own” So we turned around and contacted that family and got their address and their number. It was a really humbling experience, because sometimes we are so focuse on the appointments that we have and the things that we need to do, that we push of the promptings of the spirit and we often miss the opportunity to help others, and to touch the lives of those around us!! Also ignore the mess in the backround of the picture, we had four of us in the house and we had just gotten home and laid things out to dry!! Also I put in a random picture of a squirel because they are so cute and awful at the same time!! That about sums up my week!! I hope that you are all doing great! I love you all so much!
A talk that I read this week that I absolutley love was “Believe, Love, do” By elder uchtdorf I love this talk so much and I invite you all to read it!! It reminded me that in all of our situations and trials there is always hope and we can always find joy!! Love you all so much!! Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey all!!! So sorry that I did not send an email last week, I had Appendix surgery that friday and was not allowed to leave the house on sunday, monday, and tuesday, so I was not able to talk to my family or to send out an email. But I am doing great!! I have a realy high pain tolerance, so i dont really feel anypain at all right now! I started working on saturday and it was so much fun!!!! It was so nice to be able to leave the house and to start procesliting again! We also had Eloy´s baptism on saturday!!! He was so excited and started crying because of how strong the spirit was!
On sunday I gave a talk about the Plan of Salvation! I prayd about what I needed to share and I felt that I needed to talk about how I gained my testimony of the Plan of Salvation. So I talked about the passing of Elizabeth and how this helped me to gain a testimony of the Plan of Salvation, and then I talked about how having trials is apart of this life because if we do not feel pain, anger, sadness, etc, then we can not feel happiness, peace or joy, because we would not know the difference. It went so well, I was speaking spanish fluently and I was thinking totally in spanish! It was such a cool experience!!
Other than that my week has been prett boring, because I was not allowed to leave the house for almost the entire week. But I learned a lot about patince and I had a lot of time to study the scriptures and to get to know the sisters that I was with. On tuesday I was with a sister in our ward who was so sweet! I had so much fun talking to her in spanish for 4 hours and I understood the entire thing!! Honestly my surgery was a blessing in disguise because it gave me a chance to get to know many familys in the ward a lot better, and I was able to build a good connection with a lot of the familys.
So about two weeks ago I had an amazing experience but I forgot to write about it! So I don´t know how many of you know, but I have been struggling with depression and anxiety for almost 2 months now, I have been taking medication, but I was begining to wonder who I was really helping while I was here and if there really were people here who need to hear from me specifically and the experiences that I had.
Well we had a lesson with Eloy in the house of the bishop and this day I was feeling really anxious and I had no idea why. The Bishops wife asked if I was ok and I explained (in spanish) that I was feeling really anxious but that I would be ok. she asked to see a photo of my family and when she saw our little picture of elizabeth she asked who she was. I explained that she was my big sister that had passed away when I was 12. She asked how she died and I felt very strongly that I need to tell her more [details] than just that it was an accident at home. I had no idea how to explain it in spanish so I aske my companion to helped me. Eloy started to get tears in his eyes as he told me that his older brother passed away when he was 10, and that he found him.
Our stories were almost exactly the same. I was able to testify of the plan of salvation and promise him that he would see his brother again. The spirirt was so strong and we were both crying. This experience was an answer to my prayers as well as an answer to his prayers.
I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for each of us and that he needs us exactly where we are!! I testify that the Lord listens to your prayers and that he will answer your prayers it may not be the way that you want or expect it or in the time that you want it. Heavenly Father loves you each so much and he knows you individualy! I testify that the savior knows you perfectly and that he has felt all of your pains and trials. I testify of these things in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, Amen!!
I love you all so very much and I invit you to read Alma 32 in the Book of Mormon! I love this chapter and it spoke to me this week as I realized that the trials that I am going through now, is helping me to strengthen my testimony!! Byeeeeeeeeee!!!!
